The manner in which God moves
through hearts of stone and clay
reveals His love far greater still
when man has gone astray

for those He seeks to reconcile
who hurt from things gone by
has made a way where love can reach
the weakest heart-felt cry
____
and even when there is bitterness
and anger shows no care
the tenderness of Jesus’ heart
can move one from despair
____
by giving hope through forgiveness
the answer for mankind
is reconciliation’s mode
of love and peace of mind
____
as sins confessed are forgiven
the door is opened wide
the very essence of God’s love
is felt down deep inside
____
bringing about a clearer path
for one to follow through
in seeking others to forgive
where love has much to do

stone and clay hearts shall melt away
a new one God shall give
that it may show the heart of God
Who wants all souls to live
